Based in San Gabriel, California, Michael Karl McNeil is a seasoned safety and environmental health professional with a strong academic foundation and hands-on consulting experience. A consultant with McNeil Safety Consulting, Michael Karl McNeil holds a master of science in environmental health and is certified in health and safety supervision (Remote Medical International). He is an industrial hygienist, registered environmental professional, and emergency preparedness professional.

In his consulting role, Michael Karl McNeil partners with leadership teams to design, implement, and enforce robust safety policies covering industrial hygiene, construction safety, hazardous materials management, and environmental compliance. He conducts detailed site inspections and audits, identifies safety protocol lapses and compliance gaps, develops appropriate safety and compliance plans, and partners with managers to implement them. His work has improved workplace safety standards, strengthened organizational safety culture, and reduced incident rates as well as legal risks.

Mr. McNeil also does environmental compliance investigations and reporting, and workers’ compensation case investigations from injury through to return-to-work status. He has received numerous honors over his career, including two USDA Forest Service Merit Awards, Congressional Awards for exceptional public service and heroism, four CAL FIRE service awards, and a USMC Recon community service award.

Outside of work, Michael McNeil enjoys fly fishing in Montana, volunteering at cross-country races, and training his Dutch Shepherd and Belgian Malinois.
